Before getting down on one knee to ask Hayley for her hand in marriage, Levi fastened a white gold engagement ring encrusted with blue sapphires to their Golden Retriever. “He asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him and our two puppies,” Hayley said. It was an undoubtedly sentimental moment celebrating what would be the start of the rest of their lives together.
The majestic St Michaels Cathedral in central NSW was the perfect setting for Hayley and Levi’s charming rural ceremony. The ecclesiastical place of worship was grand against the dusty, blue Spring sky. After the formalities, guests’ were escorted to Hayley’s parents farm in Wagga Wagga for the commencement of the reception festivities. The land was intimate and secluded. Protected by rolling, tree lined hills just enough so to let the remnant sunset escape through recumbent branches.
The whole day oozed chic provincial simplicity – complete and utter elegance in the centre of organic farm land. A beautiful blend of neutral toned David Austin Roses and fresh ivy were draped down the centre of the long, banquet bridal party tables. For a personal touch, a select few of Hayley and Levi’s most treasured love inspired quotes were planted around the garden on wooden slates.
“I really wanted a day that resembled ‘us’ – country, elegant and minimalistic . . . I wanted to keep it quite simple with natural colours to tie in the country.”
There was an aura of impenetrable bliss that emanated all day long. Talented freelance photographer Ed Sloane beautifully captured every smile and infectious laugh with his combination of organic action and artisan styled shots.
The brides very own pseudo Cinderella moment occurred when Levi hand selected her one of a kind gilded, Jimmy Choo stilettos. Hayley alternated between two custom made One Day Bridal wedding gowns on the day. While still resembling features of a traditional wedding gown, Hayley’s reception dress was a short, high neck, beaded ensemble with a jaw-dropping backless design. Why wear one dress when you can wear two?
