BAZAAR Bride Spring 2015 Launch

It's true, none of us can resist the immediacy of information that comes our way when we reach for our keyboards or smartphones to search for visual style inspiration. There's no denying however that there is nothing quite like the nostalgic experience of turning the pages of a beautifully edited print magazine. We were thrilled to be a part of the BAZAAR Bride Spring 2015 launch at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel in Sydney yesterday.

Having only just returned from Paris Fashion Week, Harper’s BAZAAR Editor in Chief, Kellie Hush welcomed guests to the intimate luncheon in the hotel’s newly refurbished Sunset Room. The beautiful light filled space was reminiscent of a real life wedding and overlooked the sparkling Sydney Harbour. Sipping on Moët & Chandon champagne guests circled the table before taking their seats admiring the exquisitely styled table scape by Love 2 Love, featuring the most beautiful rose gold cutlery, elegant long stemmed candles and an eye catching botanical installation by the talented team at The Flower Era.

Seated next to some of Australia’s most notable designers, we shared the dining table with the likes of Marc of Camilla and Marc, Susien Chong of Lover, Cheryl and Gabrielle Manning of Manning Cartell and Johnny Schembri of By Johnny who is currently celebrating the launch of his debut bridal collection.

Thoughtful gift bags from Tiffany & Co were placed at the table for each guest, while models adorned in the exclusive Tiffany & Co bridal collection posed for photographs in fashion forward looks by Alex Perry and Ellery.

A bespoke three course menu was created by culinary king, Executive Chef John Pye featuring the freshest seasonal produce and was as delicious to taste as it was colourful and exciting for the eye to see. Dishes included an Alaskan crab, avocado and ruby grapefruit salad; tomato tartlet with goats curd, olive tapenade and herb salad and; confit ocean trout, zucchini blossom with lemon thyme emulsion; and roasted chicken ballotine, heirloom spring vegetables with champagne sauce. To finish, the most delicious petit fours were devoured while sipping Bird in Hand D&B ‘Pourles Amour’ Rosé from gold rimmed glasses.

A perfect lunch, it truly was a spectacular occasion.
