Bridal Shower Bed & Breakfasts

Thursday 29th September 2016
Far from a traditional hotel room, the following bed and breakfasts will leave you feeling removed from your everyday urban environment and detached from the weight of planning a wedding. Unassumingly beautiful and nestled against some of Australia's naturally insouciance environments, each remodeled corrugated iron shed or miners cottage provides just the right amount of breathing space.

Orchard Keepers
Red Hill South VIC

Wild creepers and fragrant stone fruit tress dot the well established grounds of Orchard Keepers. Vintage French sentiments and an overabundance of light dancing spaces delineate the cottage whose history dates back to the late 1800’s. Sprigs of rosemary, chalk white walls, burning mantles and provincial flea market furnishings are subtle countryside indulgences that work to create a truly enigmatic experience for you and your bridal party. Summoning the fragility of nature through wide French doors, this bespoke venue encourages you to loose yourself and then find yourself simultaneously in the naturally therapeutic wilderness of Red Hill.

The Estate Trentham
Trentham VIC

Overlooking a homespun orchard and ornamental berry garden, The Estate Trentham is a charming country find with accents of Nordic design. From the outside, a nondescript wrought iron and weatherboard shed stands inconspicuously against a backdrop of centuries-old gums. The interior walls speak a similar narrative. Nature is reflected from the inside through an abstraction and mixture of natural shapes. As if plucked from the pages of a design journal. Plant fragments, wrinkled washed linen and hemp furnishings create a harmonic blend of all things old and new.

Satellite Island

Discovery and adventure blossom on Satellite Island. A small private island perfectly unkept and shy of any major metropolitan cosmos. Where very little comes between you and the Atlantic Ocean, time seems to stands still. Wake to the sound of sea birds perched on your bedroom balustrades, as your seafaring sanctuary oscillates on what resembles a floating dock. The adjoining sheer cliff faces create a frame around the pebbled beaches beneath, while island keepers dive for sea treasures and shuck fresh oysters during the day. A sense of mindfulness returns, as the palpable salty ocean breeze gains momentum and escapes through your fingertips.

Ellis House
Kyneton VIC

Wintry Kyneton mornings are elevated by the sumptuous detailing and wooden valeted ceilings of Ellis House. From door to chimney cap, the countryside cottage exudes a rare simplicity that soothes the soul. The bare bones of this classic 1860’s establishment have been restored and ingeniously feature through the cottages interiors as a historic motif. A subtle reminder of its past life. Leave indelible memories of wine induced conversations and embrace the sentiment of a crackling fire as you unwind and allow yourself to come undone (even just for a second).

The Pineapple Cottage
Byron Bay, NSW

Inspiring endless summers, The Pineapple Cottage is a salute to the barefooted nonchalance and alternative mishmash of Byron Bay‘s nonconformist spirit and modish approach to coastal Scandi design. In true ‘Byron’ fashion, surfboards are provided upon arrival, advocating a unique way to participate in the goings-on of the coastal community. Privately owned and rented out, the boutique apartment and adjoining ‘chapel’ long precedes the reputation of most schoolies stained suites located in Byron’s epicentre.

Vintage House
Daylesford, VIC

Interior stylist Kali Cavanagh has injected new life and light into a derelict minors hamlet. From the healing waters of Hepburn Springs to the quaint villages imbued with centuries secrets, Vintage House Daylesford should be the first destination on your pre-wedding pampering weekend. Enter the ‘white room’ through shabby chic barn doors and lunge into a claw foot tub overlooking almost an acre of tended gardens. Maintaining the buildings enchanting threadbare charm,  salvaged finds have been teamed with leather trims and contemporary ceiling fixtures.
