“Young love. That all consuming, overwhelming moment filled with tenderness and desire, when nothing else seems to matter and you appear to love to the point of madness.”
Surprised how willing people were to expose themselves in front of her camera lens, Rosetzsky was able to seize the moment we all dream we could capture, and once gone, strive forever to relive. Featuring a selection of photographs taken over the course of three years in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, New Orleans, Willemstad, Prague, Cape Town and Paris, Young Love is the raw, uncut depiction of emotion, playfulness and desire shared between two people.
“To be invited into peoples’ intimate space is a very special thing as a photographer,” Rosetzsky says. The idea which Rosetzsky immediately became caught up with, spawned from her desire to discover and capture the spontaneity of two people amid moments which can often be quite intense and awkward. It was an immensely motivating and inspiring project that has since influenced and ‘translated into my commercial work,” the photographer says.
